Types of denim washes
THE SHORT ANSWER
How many denim washes does Chevignon have?
A denim wash is the finishing treatment that sets a garment's color and how much wear it arrives with. Chevignon has ten: eight base washes (Raw, Light, Medium, Dark, Ultra dark, Black, Gray, and White) plus two post-wash effects, Ivory and Vintage.
The wash changes more than color. It sets how the denim feels on day one and how it ages with use, and it signals the occasion: lighter tones read casual, darker ones read polished. Here is how the ten line up:

Ivory and Vintage
Beyond the base washes, Chevignon applies finishes that change the character of each piece. They go on top of the base tones.
- Ivory. A softly aged look with whitish tones that contrast with the base color. The piece looks like it has lived a few adventures, without losing its structure.
- Vintage. A nod to denim from past decades. Pronounced whiskers, localized rips, and contrast at the knees and seams, with soft wear and highlights that keep it modern.

A quick guide by use
Not sure where to start? Match the wash to how you will wear it:
- Everyday: Medium. It sits between light and dark, so it works for the office and the weekend.
- Easygoing daytime: Light. Pairs easily with basic tees, polos, and knits.
- Dressed up: Dark or Ultra dark. Deeper tones hide wrinkles and look pulled together.
- Urban and modern: Black or Gray. Neutral and easy to match.
- Clean and bright: White. Works best next to solid dark pieces.
- Authentic and evolving: Raw. It builds its own wear with use.
