Best Use Scenario

Since 1979, Chevignon has applied the same construction standards to every jean in the line: fabric selection, seaming, and hardware chosen for how they hold up over real use rather than how they look on day one. The Straight Fit carries a high rise and holds a consistent leg width from hip to hem. The straight mold maintains that width through the thigh and knee without tapering at the cuff. Zipper fly. The most neutral read of the five Chevignon men's fits, and the one that pairs across the widest range of footwear. The ultra dark wash carries the highest indigo saturation in the blue range. The fabric goes through minimal intervention to preserve maximum color depth, developing contrast between the highest-tension zones and the rest of the fabric in a pattern that builds slowly and reads as genuinely earned.

Our Denim

Chevignon started in France in the late 1970s. The original question was simple: why do some garments hold up for decades while others fall apart in two seasons? Denim kept coming back as the answer. The fabric has memory. It records how it's been worn, where the tension accumulated, how many times the knee bent or the thigh pulled. Since 1979, every construction decision in the Chevignon denim line, from the fabric weight to the seaming to the wash process, has been made with that behavior in mind. How the jean will read after five years of real use, not how it photographs in a studio on day one.
